Calling abroad from the UK has always been expensive, especially from a mobile. However it needn’t be that way anymore.

Call costs vary from country to country and each mobile network charges differently. It’s no wonder that most people find calling abroad a confusing and expensive experience.

Barritec has developed the ‘Mobile to International app’, an app that uses a business-grade network to route calls abroad for less, saving you money to talk longer or call more often!

The Mobile to International app uses a seamless automated two-step process to connect a call.

Firstly it uses your monthly bundled minutes to dial a standard geographic number (01/02), usually at no additional cost to you (as long as you have bundled minutes remaining). Secondly, it connects you to your international destination, using call credit from your Prepay Account, an in-app service that allows you to add funds to pay for phone calls. You will be shown the call charges on screen before placing the call.

To make international calls you will need to use your iTunes account to add credit to your Prepay Account, but in most cases the call charges will be much lower than calling abroad directly through your mobile provider.

Your Prepay Account is created within the app and is used to help cover the cost of making cheaper calls abroad. Adding to or topping up your Prepay Account is done through iTunes.
